Dr. Zhu Dunyao Participates in 2024 East Lake International AI Summit and Inaugurates Joint R&D Centre for Automotive AI Models

Date:2024/11/26

The 2024 East Lake International Artificial Intelligence Summit Forum took place on November 26 at the China Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Centre. Under the theme "Connecting the World, Creating the Future," the forum focused on accelerating AI innovation applications, building a multimodal AI ecosystem, and expanding AI’s role in industries ranging from automotive to urban development.

Dr. Zhu Dunyao, Chairman of KOTEI, was invited to join the summit alongside over 100 participants from industry, academia, and government to discuss the latest trends in artificial intelligence and its industrial impact.

Launch of ‘Zidong Taichu’ 3.0 and Keynote Speech by Dr. Zhu

During the forum, the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wuhan Institute of Artificial Intelligence (WIAI) unveiled the world’s first 100-billion-parameter multimodal large model, ‘Zidong Taichu’ 3.0. Prominent figures such as Chen Runsheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shen Changxiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, shared insights on the future of AI technology.

Dr. Zhu Dunyao delivered a keynote speech titled "SDW: Revolutionizing Automotive Electronics Software Development in the AI Era," in which he introduced KOTEI’s innovative Software DreamWorks (SDW). This intelligent automotive software development system integrates AI with human expertise, creating an end-to-end, fully automated R&D process that accelerates software iterations, reduces costs, and enhances overall efficiency.

Inauguration of Joint R&D Centre for Automotive AI

During the summit, the ‘Joint R&D Centre for Automotive Large Model Application’ was officially launched. The center is a collaboration between KOTEI and the Wuhan Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, focusing on automotive software development and large AI model applications. This partnership aims to fuel the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry and enhance the global competitiveness of automotive software.

Advancing Innovation with SDW

Dr. Zhu highlighted the capabilities of SDW, which functions as an intelligent, AI-powered "digital expert" deeply involved in the software development process. SDW combines KOTEI’s extensive data libraries and expertise, using AI to manage risks, accelerate development, and ensure successful project outcomes. The system supports human-machine collaboration, utilizing digital twin technology to quickly identify and address issues, further optimizing the software development lifecycle.

Looking ahead, the Automotive Large Model Application Joint R&D Centre will leverage SDW to drive the future of intelligent automotive software, providing innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
